The man accused of stealing unreleased Beyoncé music from one of her choreographer’s cars in Atlanta has rejected a plea deal.  According to CBS News, Kelvin Evans, appeared on video in a Fulton County courtroom on Wednesday morning and declined the deal with prosecutors. “I’m ready for trial now,” Evans said. Backstory On July 8 2025, Evans allegedly broke into a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer belonging to Beyoncé’s choreographer, Christopher Grant. Investigators say Evans took two suitcases containing hard drives from the rental vehicle that was parked on Krog Street. The Jeep was broken into while Grant and fellow dancer Diandre Blue went out to eat. When they returned about an hour later, they found the back window smashed and several suitcases gone. Authorities say the stolen items included two MacBook laptops, Apple headphones, luxury clothing and accessories, and hard drives that reportedly contained unreleased Beyoncé material. Detectives reviewed surveillance videos from the garage, lifted fingerprints, and used location pings to track electronic devices. In a 911 call later released by police, one of the victims said the missing computers contained “really, really important information” tied to a high-profile client. Evans was released on a $20,000 bond in October 2025 after initial booking in the Fulton County Jail.  Evans faces a maximum of six years in prison if convicted. The plea deal offered would have allowed him to serve five years instead. Now, the prosecution says it plans to seek all six years since he is a convicted felon. Authorities are investigating an attempted burglary at a Southern California home linked to Christian Combs, the son of music mogul Sean Combs, according to law enforcement officials. Police responded early Thursday to a report of a break-in attempt at a residence in the Porter Ranch neighborhood of Los Angeles. Officers were dispatched around 12:45 a.m. after receiving a call about suspicious activity at the property.  Investigators said suspects attempted to gain entry by breaking a rear sliding glass door. They were unsuccessful and fled before officers arrived. No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made. Authorities confirmed that no one was inside the home at the time of the incident. The Los Angeles Police Department has not publicly identified the residents.  Attempted break-in under investigation Law enforcement described the situation as a possible “hot prowl,” a term used when suspects attempt to enter a home that may be occupied.  In this case, however, officials said the occupants were away. Surveillance or monitoring systems may have played a role in alerting authorities. Reports indicate the suspects tried to enter through the back of the property before fleeing the scene. Investigators have not determined whether the home was specifically targeted because of its connection to Combs or if the attempt was random.  Property records reviewed by media outlets link the residence to Combs’ longtime partner, Raven Tracy. Neither Combs nor Tracy has publicly commented on the incident.
